My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that all students can learn and be very successful if they are given the support they need for success. I approach my classroom with a gentle touch and give the students choices for behaviors. I believe that if the students feel like they are in charge of their learning, then they will respond more positively and rise to the occasion and the expectations of them. I also believe that it is important to get students up and moving as much as possible so they are not sitting for long periods of time.
I believe that all students learn differently, so every lesson should be differentiated to fit the individual needs of all the students in the classroom. All lessons should incorporate as many learning styles as possible in order to effectively and appropriately reach the students.
